Biophilia (leaves)

This work features a system of 600 hand-carved porcelain leaf forms. I see the human form within so many constructs of nature, but especially within leaves. They are ubiquitous and humble, playing a crucial role in the life cycles of plants and Earth’s ecosystems. On a personal level, a single leaf has the power to evoke memories of time and place, moments from childhood, and one’s connection with nature.
