Biophilia: our innate human tendency to seek connection with nature and all living things...

This wall relief is comprised of 426 individual abstractions that investigate the plethora of leaf shapes and sizes that exist in our world. Hand built and carved from porcelain clay, they are pigmented with tea and graphite, and carry symbols of life and reproduction found in both human and botanical anatomy. Each form is suspended by a sewing needle.
